Exodus Armada was a space fleet constructed by the Sigma Program.
History[]
The Armada was the brainchild of Sigma benefactor Preston Swift. Construction on the Armada began in the 21st century as a means to escape the dying Earth. It was announced that its ranks would be filled via a global lottery, which ignited a new wave of optimism. Not just for the hope of escaping the dying world, but for the jobs and purpose it would bring. However, this was a lie. While the population of the world believed that the seats would be equitably distributed through a lottery system, the truth was that Sigma's top brass and their most powerful backers planned to auction off slots to the highest bidder. By the time the lottery came about, the results would be rigged.[1]
Rockets were constructed planetside, and while Swift hoped to have the construction yards on the shores of the Salish Sea, he was denied. A lot of work (not necessarily construction) on the Armada was carried out at Sigma Central. The Sigma 1 and 5 branches both worked on the Armada.[1]
The Armada launched sometime in the 2110s, launching early to escape the effects of a solar storm. The final passenger manifest was kept hidden from the public, and by the time the truth was revealed, it would be too late. However, a much worse fate beset humanity than simply being left behind, as a week after the Armada launched from Earth, a stormgate was opened in Sigma Polar, unleashing the Infernal Host on Earth.[1]
